A beautiful special girl in need of an extremely special and understanding home Let me tell you about beautiful Ellie (was Missy).

Ellie came from the rescue shelters in Romania in May this year. She was taken into the kennels as a puppy before Covid 19 hit and therefore has spent the first two years of her life in a kennel with little human contact. When arriving here in the UK she was shut down and terrified.

Ellie is a large sized dog who is now two years old and has been in foster with us since May under assessment. Ellie is an extremely nervous girl who we have worked with hard since arriving. Although Ellie has made positive progress it has become clear that Ellie will never be a normal dog who you can take out for walks and cuddle up next too because of her anxiety.

Ellie loves other dogs and is a gentle soul but unfortunately needs a life where she can be happy playing in the garden, and have safe places in her home where she feels comfortable. She loves her food is clean in the house. We have never been able to brush or cuddle Ellie approaching her with a lead or harness is out of the question this terrifies her which will then set her back in her progress.

The home Ellie needs is a very special one, a biggish garden so she can roam freely, other friendly dogs would be preferable as they help with her confidence. Someone who will not try and push Ellie and think they can fix her. Someone who doesn’t go on lots of holidays and expect to put her in a kennel, would need a house sitter. She needs a loyal, devoted quiet caring home who will take of her for the beautiful sole that she really is and let her do things at her own pace.
